FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

For new clients we always start off with an assessment call. This is to help us understand you and your pets needs, what issues your pet needs working on the most, and to figure out how we can help best. As much as this call is to help us, this call is also to help you decide whether we are the right trainer for you, which is way we've always made this first call free of charge.

After the assessment call, we'll schedule the first lesson and go from there.

What is the training process like?

For in person training, we will meet once a week for 1 hour. At the end of each lesson, I will leave you guys with some 'homework', in order to practice and maintain the training so that we can move forward and make progress in the next lesson. Once we have finished all the lessons, we can keep in touch for additional tips and advice whenever needed. My sessions are aimed at long term results and I'd love to help even after our sessions.

For virtual training, we'll do 1 hour video calls on Zoom, once a week. I will be available for you to call and text throughout the week, if you need any tips or updates.

What types of dogs have you worked with?

I have worked with over 200 dogs so far, so I've seen all that there is to offer. I've worked with dogs ranging from new puppies, newly adopted dogs, all the way to senior dogs with severe behavior issues or anxiety. No dog is too late or too old to be helped. They can all be trained as long as we give them the chance and opportunity to learn, because they only want to adapt and have a happy life with us.

What are your credentials?

I have a degree in Animal Science and Psychology studying the behavior and needs of small and large animals. I have worked across the animal industry for 7 years - starting at a zoo, to a pet boarding facility, a dog training school, a veterinary clinic, and a pet insurance company. I bring a lot more to the table than just basic dog training, and I'm happy to share what I know with you.

Over my career as an animal trainer, I have trained over 200 dogs, and have had plenty of happy customers. Please visit my Thumbtack page to see some of the reviews that my previous clients have left behind.

What kind of payment do you take?

We take payment via Venmo (@WenTze-Ng), Chase Quickpay (amanda_wenz@hotmail.com), or cash after the training session.
